This 3-week acrylic painting series introduces participants to essential acrylic techniques while exploring still life and landscape subjects inspired by the rich colors and textures of autumn. Students will build foundational skills in brushwork, layering, color mixing, and composition through guided exercises and hands-on painting. Each session balances technique demonstrations with creative practice, encouraging students to develop their own expressive style while painting seasonal themes.
Syllabus:
Week 1 – Acrylic Foundations & Still Life
Introduction to materials and acrylic properties
Basic brush techniques: layering, dry brush, blending
Underpainting and building texture
Still life composition and painting exercises
Week 2 – Expanding Technique & Landscape Introduction
Color mixing for mood and atmosphere
Glazing and layering for depth
Introduction to landscape composition and perspective
Painting autumn landscape studies
Week 3 – Bringing It Together: Final Projects
Refining still life and landscape paintings
Light, shadow, and contrast techniques
Individualized feedback and creative exploration
Completing personal acrylic artworks inspired by fall themes

About Kenzy
Kenzy is a visual artist , fine arts researcher and instructor from Alexandria, Egypt, and holds a bachelor's degree from Alexandria University school of Art. Kenzy specializes in watercolor, acrylic, and marker-based works and has exhibited works locally and internationally.
