Mike Hagan: INK GAME, HA! — October 2018

RECEPTION was Saturday, October 13, 2018, 2-5pm

Mike Hagan’s new prints continue a 10-year exploration of custom and ‘tween’ colors, tessellations, halftones, and the relationships among hand-pulled prints, drawing, painting, commercial printing, digital imagery, and photography. In the exhibit he treats these interests as a ‘game’ to motivate and provide boundaries in his printmaking. Main rules for the game: “Make visible what must be made visible to be understood; and have fun doing it.”

Exhibit available for viewing 11am-6pm, every Thursday-Sunday, October 11th through October 28th, at 1641 Wisconsin Avenue (above Q Street), NW, Washington DC.

CONVERSATIONS WITH THE PRINTMAKER: During the exhibit period feel free to contact Mike directly to arrange visits with the printmaker on other days and time.
