WPG Associate Members’ Exhibition

Opening Reception: Saturday, April 1, 3pm–5pm

Variation: a different or distinct version

Join the associate member artists of the Washington Printmakers Gallery as they present Variations, an exploration of the printed arts: ink on paper from nine different points of view.

Listening to Bach’s Goldberg Variations, one hears multiple variations of a musical unit build to an entire opus. Variation as building block has long been a tool of both musicians and visual artists. In our April show of nine WPG artists, not only does each artist show "variation" within their mini solo show, but the overall show builds to something larger than the individual units.

Photographers and printmakers work together. From Japanese woodcuts to mono prints of spring flowers; from mezzotints of forms in nature to photographs of stunning scenery; this show exemplifies the mastery of the artists’ medium.
