Secret Belgian Stitch Book Class with Adele Ross (3 Sessions)

Thursdays, March 12, 19, 26 from 5 to 8 P.M.

The Secret Belgian Binding is a technique known for its visible thread pattern on the cover and spine. The secret aspect refers to the way the sewing thread is hidden on the inside of the spine. This binding technique lies flat when open and works well as a sketch book for artists.

In this workshop, participants will learn to use folding techniques for creating signature pages. Book covers will be cut from book board and covered with handmade paper. Techniques that will be demonstrated include measuring, cutting, and pasting to create book covers.

Two stitching techniques will be demonstrated for the assembly of the book.

Young Adults and Adults.

Maximum 6 participants

Supplies: $30 material fee to be paid to the instructor. All tools and pastes will be provided.
