Friday, July 24 from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M.
Summer is sizzling — cool down with an evening of refreshing drinks and relaxing origami at a cozy art center in Georgetown. Join Naoko Kamioka to fold playful fish and sea creatures that capture the spirit of the ocean and the joy of origami. In this one-hour workshop, participants will create several marine-themed origami pieces while enjoying a calm, creative atmosphere. After the class, the participants can transform the origami creations into an ocean collage, a hanging mobile, decorations for a craft fishing net, or other imaginative displays to bring a touch of the sea into home.
Maximum Participants. 7
Target age: above 15 yrs old (but those below 21 yrs old, only soft drinks will be served)
$30
Supplies: Additional fee: Origami paper provided. $10 on the day for drinks and snacks. If you would like to bring those interested in sipping and seeing the art gallery (but not folding origami), they can join for $10.
