Peggy Cormary

Peggy Cormary is a French-born contemporary photographer and artist based in Washington, DC. Her work explores memory, identity, and the ephemeral nature of beauty through the interplay of light, color, and texture.

Having lived and worked across France, Brazil, and the United States, Peggy draws on cultural fragments and sensory impressions to create images that feel both intimate and universal. Her poetic visual language often transforms everyday objects into delicate metaphors of time, emotion, and transformation.

In 2025, her Flowers series was exhibited at the French Consulate in Washington, DC, a continuation of her exploration of fragility, translucence, and the passage between presence and disappearance. Her earlier series, Translucent, also reflects this meditative approach, using double exposure and nuanced lighting to evoke the quiet dialogue between nature and memory.

Peggy is a graduate of the American College of the Mediterranean in Aix-en-Provence and has exhibited internationally, including at Les Rencontres d’Arles and galleries in the U.S. and Europe.

Through Peggy Cormary Art, she invites viewers to slow down—to see, feel, and remember through the poetry of light.
