Born in Mali, West Africa, I have spent my childhood in northern Italy and then moved to Switzerland and France, before settling in the United States.

As a DC-based photographer, I have chosen to work under the name “Korofina.” This name honors my mother's legacy, as she was instrumental in nurturing my artistic talents, especially in photography and painting. As a photographer, I specialize in capturing the dynamic essence of urban environments, particularly as they shift with the seasons.

My work focuses on architecture and street photography, with a hint of nostalgic moments, both in Washington, DC, and across the world. Through my lens, I strive to evoke emotion and tell compelling stories, of the people I meet and places I visit, presenting my images in both vivid color and timeless black and white.
