Welcome Back, Clare Winslow!
WPG is thrilled to welcome back member artist Clare Winslow to our dynamic community. Winslow is an accomplished printmaker and painter whose work explores time, nature, and transformation. A third-generation artist raised in Washington, D.C.; she brings a rich legacy of creativity and a contemporary vision that continues to inspire.
About Winslow
Winslow ’s practice spans screen printing, monotypes, and mixed media, informed by her studies at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. Her work engages light, memory, and impermanence through layered abstractions and translucent textures. She describes each piece as “a delicate dance between process and feeling,” inviting viewers into a space of stillness and reflection.
Recent Work
Winslow ’s recent solo exhibition, The Art of Attachment at Glen Echo Park’s Park View Gallery, showcased bold, experimental screenprints inspired by Buddhist concepts of non-attachment. These works combine gestural abstraction with unconventional materials, challenging printmaking norms while evoking resilience and calm. Her prints have also appeared at DC Print Fair, Print Santa Fe, and Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, underscoring her presence in both local and national printmaking circles.
Why We’re Excited
Winslow ’s return is more than a homecoming—it’s a renewal of creative energy for our gallery. Her commitment to teaching and community-building, seen through workshops like Gel Printing on Fabric at Pyramid Atlantic, reflects her passion for sharing the transformative power of art. As we look ahead to upcoming exhibitions and collaborative projects, Winslow ’s voice will be integral to shaping our vision for 2026. See Winslow ’s latest screenprints in her March solo exhibition and look for her printmaking classes at WPG in 2026.
